It affects us fans because it can make people look differently at the sport we all love, this isn't helping Boxing at all, in fact it is just gonna affect it in a negative way.

You know when guys go into Boxing and have a dream to become a world champion of the division they fight in, and become a world champion in other divisions after going up in weight... well this does nothing but help prevent people from wanting this.

I just have to applaud your post here, You at least give pacman fans a good name because alot of phillipino fans are turning people against him.

Just speaking from the heart man. Real "fans" of boxing already know that belts today don't mean ****, so why create another useless belt and put the blame on a fighter because it wasn't in the contract? Whereas boxing "fanatics", usually "fans x100", have a certain loyalty to a certain type of fighter(s). The TS here is obviously in love with Pac, his/her page shows it, putting the "blame" on Cotto for the creation of this Diamond Belt shows it and calling me out as a "Cotto Stans" pushed me over the edge.....

Who's the true welterweight champion? Is it Mosley or is it Cotto? The ring rates Mosley as #1 afaik but cotto bet Mosley before so it's questionable who #1 really is in the division. If there was only one belt in the division there would be no denying who the true #1 is and you'd get big fights all the time because there would be some many top contenders with their eye on that one belt.

At the moment theres no reason for Cotto and Mosley to fight again cause they're both WW world champs and both are happy with the belts they have. If there was only one belt they would be quick to fight for it.
So if your asking who loses out, that would be the fans and boxing itself. The boxers and commissions certainly don't loose out

By the way, I think Pacquaio is a great fighter and I hope he beats Cotto but this new belt is a total joke

Am a boxing fan so yes it affects the way i look at the sport that i love, Instead of denoucing this **** you seem to be encouraging it because it involves Pacman and that is where i think you're going wrong.

Like i said before i dont blame either Cotto or Pacman for this **** rather i would blame the WBC who are trying to exploit this two genuine boxing guys but i cant even begin to imagine what would happen if this **** involves the name Mayweather.

If you were a real fan you wouldnt let this hurt the way you look at the sport. Maybe you need to focus more on Ice Skating or Ballet. People who are that sensitive dont need to be in this sport lol We fight. Whats funny is I dont give a **** if it involved any fighter. No belt makes no difference to me. With a belt with out a belt title or no title Catch weight or not ...Cotto will not and cannot beat Manny ! So my point is At the end of the night If I see a good fight ...IM happy.
