Did you set your Pacquiao Alarm clock this morning? Cuz you haven't woken up yet.....

This affects the "fans" because now people are blaming fighters (as you are blaming Cotto) for the creation of this belt. According to FACTS....the title was not on the line when Cotto and Pac signed the contracts to fight at 145lbs.. Pac should've done his homework before he signed. I don't fault and can't blame Cotto for sticking to his guns regarding HIS title....and if Pac wants full credit from one of his most die hard fans (not a "tard") then he better fight Cotto at Cotto's full strength for Cotto's title at the 147 limit. Otherwise, fight him at 145lbs for your biggest payday.

Who were the ones bitching and complaining about "the WBO belt not on the line"? Fans and Pac's camp after they read the fine print. If anything...it's Pac's fault this belt was created....HE is the WBCs posterboy, HE is the p4p #1 and HE is the one who's "advisor" (***** ass Koncz) has made it seem like Manny is endorsing this horrible idea.

endless time I explain this. Ill do it for you because you may be a little slow.
Pac fought 147 1 time. Said if he were to fight there again it would be at a catchweight. Cotto fought 147 9 times...and agreed to fight him at a catchweight. Manny wanted the title on the line...Cotto cried about it and now we gotta new belt. THE END

This affects fans who let it . Not one of us takes a belt home. lol And people are blaming everyone. I can give two ****s about belts that Im not fighting for. That is ******ed! Im stating if you wanna blame some one Blame Cotto. If he were not so insecure and If he was confident that he can beat Manny he would put it up. You got no clue what happens in the offices of the lawyers of these teams and fine print. You aint never seen the contract or know who signs what or when.

Exactly, as a fan you should be interested in whats best for boxing, having a **** load of belts that mean nothing is not good for the sport. Sure why don't they make another 10 wealterweight belts and everyone can fight for a world title, it's just pointless

Belts have always been nothing more than trinkets to who ever wins them. It should mean nothing to Fans. Some fighters dont care or need them belts to prove anything. Real fans know whos the champ and whos not. Belts have robbed fighters and boosted fighters to stardom. It has its ups and down...**** cell phone plans has ups and downs...thats life. People worry about belts when the important thing is the fans see a great fight.

I hear that the WWE belts are srs buisness!! It's been a very long time since belts mattered. People only care of who's "champion" i.e. the guy who won, not what's wrapped around their waist.

This diamond belt is BS but I don't blame Pac for going along with it and I don't blame Cotto for not putting his up. Its a money grab both in fees and to make extra interest/controversy for the fight.

#1 - If you don't give two ****s...why start this thread?

#2 - Coming from a Pac-fan.....if Team Pacquiao was so confident in Pac's skills...why not let him fight at 147 limit? YEAH YEAH YEAH....he only fought there once...against a drained DLH, he said he'd only do it once, if he were to fight above 140 it would be at a catchweight....blah blah blah. FACT - Pac signed on the dotted line to fight at 145 no title on the line, now Arum is trying to salvage his **** up. FACT - Cotto signed on the dotted line to fight at 145 no title on the line. Everyone was fine and dandy with that UNTIL some of Pac's people caught that after after watching Wowowee.

#3 - Your right...I've never seen a professional boxing contract....but why is it that this is the 1st time in the HISTORY of professional boxing that a fictitious title has been created to appease the fans and possibly put Pac down in the record books as the only 7 time 7 division champ? I'll tell you why...Pac = WBC's golden boy.

This gave the WBC a reason to stop the crying in years to come. Catchweights have been around since boxing has. Like it or not it wont stop. If this ****** belt makes for a better fight...Im for it.
I can care less how many belts their are. I or nobody on this forum takes the belt home or gets a cut of the purses...so why complain! What important to us as fans is that we see good fights and good PPV cards. Thats what we need to complain about. We watch a PPV cards that has an under card not worth even talking about. These belts are like trophy's to these guys. As a boxer myself I have belts ribbons trophy's and other awards that i have that i can showcase.
At the end of the night the most important thing is was if i won or if i lost in the end. Trinkets and trophy's are nothing more than a reflection back to what you did to win it. We are fans It shouldn't matter.
