I really don't find having catch weight belts to be a good idea in terms of making boxing a more popular sport as I read. Is just another way for organizations to make more money. Would people give the same credit to a boxer who wins one of these belts than to win the one that's already establised? Would the tought of winning any of these new belts make boxers feel the urge to make more catch weight bouts? We will see....

No **** he was ''pleased and honered'' dude get his balls licked by the WBC president and he gets a free championship belt by fighting CATCHWEIGHT! Meaning everybody who wants to fight him now have to drop to 141

im a pac fan but this is ridiculous. cotto doenst want to put up his belt at a catchweight so the WBC makes one up for him and basially he gets to make up his own weightclasses. not to metion the WBC gets to collect another fat sanctioning fee.

Creating a "title" for the "elite" fighters due to catchweights?
