the JMM fight does very well. Pretty much everyone including the media has clowned him about sales for this fight. If he ends up selling out the joint and does very good PPV buys with a non seller like JMM, while UFC is going on the same night then you have to man up and give the man props. If he out sells the UFC card then you have to show him love since its been owning boxing. From the way people are talking its like they think he's going to have the arena half filled and only do 150,000 PPV buys. However, I know what will happened if he does well. People will try to say its because of anything else but Floyd. They will say that its the card or the Mexican day even though the haterz on here have still been clowning the card, even though main stream fans dont know anyone on the card, and even though the Mexican holiday has never helped anyone not named Oscar. Actually, it doesnt even help Oscar. Its not like its Cinco De Mayo. If he sells well then you have to give it up to him. I bet alot of that talk will start to change once 24/7 comes on

No disrespect to Floyd, but I can't give him full credit for numbers done against Marquez on the eve of a Mexican holiday any more than I could give credit to someone fighting Cotto on the eve of the Puerto Rican day parade.
doesn't matter anyway. This card will be a flop in comparison to the Hatton and Oscar fights. Floyd isn't the draw he claims to be (although he is a good draw) and this fight will validate that.Comment

One of the problems for this fight regarding ticket sales is the ticket prices. Like always with boxing it is overpriced.

Maybe. But if Floyd were the draw he thinks he is, the tickets would go. Celebs and pseudo celebs have money and that is the crowd Floyd thinks he caters to. Bottom line is...Floyd is an attraction, but he's not an attraction like Ricky or Oscar, who he needed to do huge numbers.Comment

Marquez and Casmaayor didn't do great numbers on Mexican Independence day, so I'm not sure what that has to do with the big draw. I'd say Floyd's drawing power is greater then Marquez's mexican draw power. Just because it's on mexican independence weekend will only help the live gate, not so much the PPV draws.
Also you have a better shot at arguing that the stacked card would give Floyd less credit at being a draw then Marquez's mexican drawing power, JabComment
