after 8 rounds with pacquiao , oscar didn't even want another round.

One thing you forgot to mention or don't know, is that before Manny, nobody, noone, has ever dropped Marquez, ever, let alone 3 times in a single fight. And when was the last time you saw Oscar beat up like the way Manny beat him up, answer is never. If he hadn't quit, Manny would've dropped him on the next round, guarantee. Lastly, it took Mayweather 10 or 9 rounds to drop Hatton, and he wasn't even completely out, Manny completetly Knocked Hatton out cold. So the answer is Manny is not a light puncher. He can punch the lights out of some opponents. Question is can he do it to Cotto, unlikely, but it's not impossible.

This is what I'm saying,he's a volume puncher and not a power puncher.If a power puncher hits you with the shots Manny hits people for 8 rounds your face would look like mince meat.

Before some people get carried away let's not forget Manny is a light puncher:

He gave DelaHoya a lot of shots for like 8 rounds.DelaHoya was dehydrated didnt even buckle neither did he look damaged.Mayweather meanwhile buckled DelaHoya and Delahoya became cautious.After the fight with Pacquiao DelaHoya was surprised by the lack of Pacquiao's punching power.

Pacquiao dropped Marquez 3 times in the first round.What that means is Pacquiao caught Marquez flash 3 times but because he's not a powerful puncher Marquez rose and won every round afterwards.

Manny hit Diaz with everything he had,it took a lot of bashing before he could get rid of Diaz.

There is no doubt he could catch Cotto clean the way Pacquiao did to Hatton but knocking Cotto out is very unlikely.If Cotto feels Manny's lack of power then someone's ribs will need some good attention after the fight.

Are you serious? The shot Pac caught Hatton with would have Kayoed just about anybody up to 160. It was perfect, and had all the necessary elements for a one punch KO. Pac probably wont land another shot like that in his life regardless of who he fights,but you cant **** on the guys power. Given the right set of circumstances he has more than enough to trouble Cotto and Mayweather.

Whether he can land enough cleanly remains to be seen.

Calling Pac a light puncher hurts your credibility from the outset and makes it look like you have an agenda, at the very least he is a good puncher even if YOU dont think spectacular.

To be fair DK he hasnt been posting these horus/tunney style propaganda threads in recent months. I hope this is just a blip.
