One thing you forgot to mention or don't know, is that before Manny, nobody, noone, has ever dropped Marquez, ever, let alone 3 times in a single fight. And when was the last time you saw Oscar beat up like the way Manny beat him up, answer is never. If he hadn't quit, Manny would've dropped him on the next round, guarantee. Lastly, it took Mayweather 10 or 9 rounds to drop Hatton, and he wasn't even completely out, Manny completetly Knocked Hatton out cold. So the answer is Manny is not a light puncher. He can punch the lights out of some opponents. Question is can he do it to Cotto, unlikely, but it's not impossible.

I seem to remember Oscar holding on the ropes at one point of the beating, not too mention manny seemed to go easy on the guy, backing off when he was whaling away on him against the ropes at times. And don't forget oscar quit. What if he didn't quit? Who's to say Manny wouldn't have KO'd him in the upcoming rounds? And there is the fact that Oscar has a solid chin, a GREAT chin.

BTW, that Ricky Hatton KO would KO ~95% of fighters around his weight class.

Thats why they are called sparring partners
since when have you ever heard of a sparring partner bad mouth the guy that is cutting him a check
and then you add the 24/7 Circus and he would take a dive so manny looks good
dont tell me that you never thought of it.

That being said Manny does indeed pac a punch
and Cotto is still suspect because of the beat down he got from Margs.

It makes for a great fight
