tito was a great fighter. he lose to a freaking light heavyweight at middleweight and all of a sudden people jump off the bandwagon.

i was tito guy when he was on top , i'll still be a tito guy even when people forget who he was.
    I actually agree with you

do you know how many years tito took off vargas' career?

reid couldn't have a long career if he wanted to. he had that lazy eyelid problem. that's why reid was pushed very fast by his management and took a title shot so quick. reid had some skills , man.

i hate how people diminish tito so much.

like you said gomez and benitez had better skills but tito was a bonafide star.

don king's plan for him was to unify 160 , win belts at 168 and challenge roy at 175.

that **** was crazy and i was one of those that thought he would do it.

of course hopkins messed up everything up but that really ain't a big deal. hopkins was a great fighter as well.

i just find it funny how oscar doesn't get any **** for losing to hopkins at 160 and winky for losing to him at 170......

but tito loses to the same guy and all of a sudden tito wasn't any good. bull****.

Vargas was a legit win, Tito impressed the hell out of me in that fight, I didn't think Vargas would get KD until late. Reid was a good fighter, but he was always known to be chinny (that was the word going around Philly gyms at the time). Reid reminds me of Andre Ward.

The problem was when Tito faced fighters he couldn't blast out he was really a sittign duck.
dude , the only loss of tito in his prime was hopkins that's it.

tito had 45 professional fights. he lost 3 times.

don't make it seem like tito was some one dimensional guy with no skills.

              tito had skills.

he lost to hopkins and winky and oscar could have beat him.

there's a long list of fighters that those 3 guy have outboxed.

if it wasn't for that eyelid condition , reid would have had a solid career.

                he had the skills.

shame they couldn't do anything for him. they tried a couple of surgeries on it and none of it helped.

Tito was a seek and destroy fighter with ok boxing skills. He fought to break down his opponents, and the ones he couldn't find handled him pretty well.

Gomez easy 3 division Champ, he have a record 17 straight titles defenses by KO, and a very good resume. Plus as a amateur he was great too.

Benitez is the better skilled tho, his defense and counter punching abilities are at a ATG level.

Tito was the more carismathic and entertaining of the 3, but his accomplishments are not as good as Gomez
