Can you imagine what negotiations for Mayweather/Pacquiao would be like?

Say Manny and Floyd both win their scheduled bouts this fall. The logical bout would be to match the two of them together.

Given the difficulty in negotiating that both of these fighters present, I can't imagine the negotiations for a fight between the two of them. They would dispute everything down to the lighting in the arena.

The problem would obviously be the split. Weight would be a non issue since both fighters would have no problem weighing anywhere between 147 and 140, but both would want the majority of the purse. I don't think this fight ever happens because both sides will want 60%, with it being possible Mayweather would ask for 65% or 70% to make things ridiculous.

I can't see the fight being made with Arum involved.

I think after the PPV numbers come in after Pac-Cotto, Pacman will have some leverage.

IMO, If Floyd KNEW he could beat Pacquiao the split wouldnt be THAT detrimental to making the fight. Both would make **** loads of money, but I think Floyd wants that "insurance" money in case he doesn't come out victorious because his bargaining chip (his 0) would be out the window for good.

Floyd the businessman may be Floyd's downfall in the big scheme of things as a fighter.

He can't make the same fighting Mosley or Cotto(expecting Cotto to lose to Pac)

Only way he could make as much as he'd make vs Pac is if he went and digged up DLH...

Unless Floyd has some type of Time Machine as is bringing back a 1983 version of Sugar Ray Leonard, there isn't another fight out there (pre Cotto vs Pac outcome) that'll give him that much money.

I think he's praying Pacquiao wins.
