I don't think boxing is dead at all. It's all about the fan base and the marketing. I have no idea why they don't put boxing on cable network the way it used to be. I remember watching Tuesday night fights, Friday night fights, and fights in the afternoon on Saturdays. I'd say the 90's fcuked it up.
Boxing isn't dead. The "fat cats" are just getting too greedy, fighters are getting too soft, and fans are becoming more and more belligerent ignorants.
As far as MMA? I don't know what to tell ya about that. That ain't my steez. I don't think it's the next best thing either. I'll tell you what though, it took whoever controls MMA this long to get it so it's organized and actually have a following. So i guess that's good.
But the politics i still don't understand. Please can someone explain it to me? How is it that someone with no MMA experience, except for the WWF (WWE), have a belt when he only has a cumulative of 4 or 5 fights? Is it because he's a freak of nature who weights like 400 pounds? Why is it that gold Olympians still have to work their way from the gutter to get to the top in boxing? Why isn't there MMA in the Olympics?
I dunno, i'm just not into MMA. Period.Comment
