Ricky was not only possible damaged goods but he fought like an idiot against Pacquiao, he blindly went for the early KO and against a guy with Pacquiao's awkwardness, speed and power that's only gonna lead to one thing.

Mayweather fought with a completely different style and gameplan to Pac, and Ricky put on a much better performance, but the fight still ended with the same result.

Size had nothing to do with it. It was widely reported before the fight that Manny's measurements were all bigger than Ricky's and Ricky probably only outweighed him by 3 or 4 pounds on the night.

People only discredit because they are sick of people overrating him so much.

lol. hatton going to 147 against mayweather means nothing? why bnecause mayweather is small himself at 147. if hatton fought cotto, cintron, margarito, at 147 he would have been KTFO also...and hatton knows this which is why he fougth mayweather at 147. style wise mayweather was the only person he could fight with.

not onnly that, but mayweather gave ricky a beating physically and mentally. hatton was almost KTFO against lazcano (140 bout) so this weight division means nothing. Hatton was damaged goods when he fought pacman. Anyone who does not agree is blind to this fact.

put one and one together. Hatton was damaged goods...there i said it
If we're going by your analogy, Foreman took Frazier's ZERO by a 2nd round TKO even before the classic Thrilla-in-Manila. So are we saying that Frazier is a damage good when Ali got to him?!!!

Good Post, **** to those who overrate their favorite fighters, i like manny more than cotto but i maintain that the fight between the two is a 50/50 match-up, so i will be extremely happy if manny ever wins, why dont you guys approach each fight with this kind of mindset, it will be even more sweeter if ever your fighter wins it...

Manny Pacquiao has a better win over Hatton on his record. FACT.
Faster, more brutal.. and not to mention he was the one coming up in weight NOT Hatton.
