Any fighter who is or is found to be a coward would suddenly lose popularity, and wouldn`t even be worth mentioning or televised. They would die a natural death in terms of being known.

One example of this is the opponent of JuanMa who obviously took a dive in the first round last year, the one who accused the JuanMa team of threatening him. I even forgot his name because of his cowardice.

As a boxing fan and as someone who has boxed, It would be a bit wanky of me to call anyone with the courage to step in the ring a coward, so I reserve that name for non boxers like Charlie Z and also internet warriors that call boxers cowards.
