  • here comes the ugly old floyd again wearing same old stuff... idiocy got the better of him speaking about this fight. he is the prophet of doom of boxing. the man's got no job and hoping to fool some fighters around.

this ugly old man predicted a blowout win by delahoya over pac. he again predicted another blowout win by hatton. but his predictions fall. this prophet of doom is here again making the same prediction. it would be better for him to keep his mouth shut.

nobody will believe in him. no, not even his own ugly son believes him.

    this man's broke.

You must be mixing Cotto up with someone else! He's 5′ 7″ with a 67″ reach. Pac is 5′ 6½″ with a 67″ reach. They are almost identical in that respect!

If Pac's a midget then Cotto's a midget. Cotto may be naturally heavier but they are virtually the same height and have identical reach. And Pac weighs 147 on fight night, the same as Floyd does - do you think Floyd is a midget as well?

He is a natural 140 pounder now. The fact that he weighed less in the past is irrelevant.

No smaller in size than Cotto, no smaller in fight night weight than Floyd.

He didn't set himself for those punches, he was on the move the whole time. When he sets himself he does have one-punch power.

In the Mayweather fight he didn't show a glass chin at all, he took a lot of punches right on the button before he went down, and even then he got up despite hitting a corner post very hard with the back of his head on the way down.

Against Collazo and Lazcano he left his chin hanging out and anyone can get starched when they do that (see Nate Campbell vs. Robbie Peden). Despite that he managed to win both fights.

Against Tszyu, the biggest punching Jnr Welterweight of his generation, he took many of Tszyu's best punches and still won.

He was lineal Jnr Welterweight champion for nearly four years. Although most people expected Pac to beat him, there was not one respected boxing analyst who expected it to be as one-sided as it was. Almost all of them predicted a very competitive war, and a late round KO.

You're just blinded by your hate.
        atta boy, dave rado.....
point by point...punto y punto!!...you busted all of boxingfan76's comment.

just for one, he meant margarito for the 5'11" heavywt reach...

you just don't know that manny first sparred with legit welters preparing for diaz.
he sparred with welters and a jr middle for his fyt with oscar and ricky!!
didn't you see how manny absorbed ricky's vaunted body shots while in the ropes????

I have it as a pick 'em fight too, and I think Cotto should be the slight favourite. But you veer between sensible analysis in some posts, and appearing to be a hater in other posts, which makes it hard to have a sensible discussion with you.

Also, regarding your statement that Cotto is not at his best any more, I don't see how anyone can make that judgement given that in his only meaningful fight since the Margarito loss he had a bad cut over his eye for nine rounds and could barely see out of that eye for most of that time. To win in those circumstances against someone of Clottey's calibre is quite an achievement. And I don't buy the idea that it was a robbery. I scored it for Cotto by one round, and every respected boxing analyst had it extremely close - and no extremely close fight can ever be called a robbery. But regarding his performance, given that he was half-blind for 9 rounds, I think his performance was very impressive.

              • "If he hits Pacquiao in the head or the body it's over": You don't see anything dumb about that statement? Where the hell else is he going to hit him, his neck?! Very little he says makes any sense at all. Case in point: Two people offered predictions on Pacquiao v. Hatton. One was spot on, the other amounted to gibberish. Two people, Freddie Roach and Floyd Mayweather Sr. You pick who said what. Adios.

                  • There is no point of bumping this up. Punch resistence is different from skills.
