I'm American, but I can say there is no chance for Arreola in this. He would have a chance against Wlad because the lack of a chin, but Vitali has a great chin. Arreola WILL get knocked out.

Hope the fight does not fall apart and gets signed.. I'm excited to actually see a fighter who WANTS to **** with the Klitschko's.. not fighters who fight scared and cautious and put us fans to sleep unless your a klit nuthugger who "admire's the paw paw right soo much it should be a timeless form of art"
Arreola may get killed but it will be very very entertaining and the fact that he has heart, punch and rhythm.. he can get the dub...

But I heard rumors that he got knocked out by some of his sparring partners while he was in training for the fight with Rahman. A guy can have a good chin for an amount of time, and then all of a sudden it is dentable due to lack of conditioning or age. Margarito is a good example of that. And regardless of how hard Gomez and Peter punches as Klitkcho 2009 pointed out earlier I believe, they didn't even hit him. So that didn't really answer any of the questions we've got of how much Vitali has in the tank at his age.
Margarito's chin finally cracked because he has no defence, he is a punching bag who takes thousands of punches every fight. The same thing happened to Gatti, Mayorga, Hatton, etc. And the same thing will happen to Arreola, he has **** defence, blocks punches with his face, he's gonna get destroyed by Vitali.
Vitali has good defence, his unorthodox style is very effective, he is slick, uses his height and reach very well and is a master at controlling range. He is hard to hit flush, but when he does get hit he has a great chin and can take huge punches and be unphased. He took the best punches from the two biggest punchers in the heavyweight division at the time (Lennox Lewis and Corrie Sanders) and never went down. Lewis and Sanders both hit way harder than Arreola.
Juan Carlos Gomez did land some big punches, but Vitali was unphased and didn't even flinch. So Vitali still has an iron chin.
Stylistically, the fast slick southpaw Gomez is a tougher opponent for Vitali than the one dimensional orthodox brawler Arreola.
Vitali dominated Gomez, knocked him down 3 times and KO'd him in 9
Vitali will dominate Arreola. He will pick him apart, land power punches at will and knock him the **** out.Last edited by Klitschko2011; 08-03-2009, 11:28 PM.

He's talking about years ago when Vitali got injured several times training to fight Rahman had to pull out of the fight and then he retired for a few years because of those injuries.
Vitali did get dropped by a sparring partner training for Rahman but he also tore knee ligaments when he went down so I doubt it was a punch that put him down.
Anyway, Vitali will easily beat Arreola by TKO in 8 rounds or so IMHO.

As for Juan Carlos Gomez, he has an excellent KO record. I don't know about lately, but I recall that of his first 35 fights, only 4 went the distance. He also had a very good unbeaten record of cruiserweight title defences.
He would have had a heavyweight title long ago if he hadn't messed up his career by bad behaviour.
