if i remember it right, maganda posted something in another thread saying he wants MAB-JMM to see who's the better technical fighter... both are good counter-punchers, should be quite boring, but technicality is not all about excitement... i doubt erik will face jmm cause he will be moving up in weight after the pac fight... and nobody among the other three will be able to meet him at 135

I think Marquez comes last when it comes to all these fighters, Pacquiao, Barrera and Morales. Style makes fights, of course. In boxing, you never know.

i think EM and MAB avoided JMM because they deem that JMM style is very high risk for them and yet low rewards. IMHO, JMM is the better counterpuncher than MAB, and JMM is more of a ring technician than MAB.

But MAB is more fun to watch than JMM of course

maybe the reason is realy money! by engaging with marquez they won't get paid as much as they wanted. maybe it's because they are afraid of losing to marquez, whom they thought is very capable of beating both of them! there's still time for both marquez and barrera to go against each other and with the way things are going for barrera (and with that win over morales) i think he is good for about 2-3 fights. who knows, it could be pacquiao and then marquez? or morales, his 4th encounter? after the pacquiao-morales encounter, the air would be a lot clearer. then, we'll see who's facing who.

it should make things clearer alright... it will be clear that pac will fight mab if and when he beats erik... but what about marquez??? if manny wins, he will be having more market value, which will result to further overpricing by JMM, and we do not want that...

yep, JMM must do a Zab Judah feat, fighting Spinks for only $100K, and now he's gonna get multi million dollar fights, now that he's the unified welter champ.

JMM must be able to beat one of the three top prize fighter to increase his value. Or just be the 2 belted champ that he is and fight mandatory challenger and earn 200K - 300K.

Marquez is a real danger to any fighter, beside the fact that he is a fantastic fighter, he is unpredictable, he has the ability to throw from diferent angles and with power.

JMM's style will make anyone look bad. And to look bad is the last thing those mexicans want. They'd rather lose in an exciting match than to look bad in a win...
