I think Wlad/Chambers is more likely to come off this year than a Povetkin bout

Wlad stops Povetkin mid-late rounds, wide UDs Chambers

Haye batters Valuev and either dominates him to points victory or KOs him

Vitali UDs Arreola after dropping him once or twice

      is he next after povetkin?
Chambers said on ESPN there not even close to negotiating. And there is really no point for Wlad to fight Chambers this year if it's going to be in December. Povetkin wants to fight a tune-up in September and than Wlad in November or December.

Nikolai Valuev vs David Haye - 07 November 2009 (possibly in Germany)

Valuev and Haye have signed on the dotted line in a clash for the WBA Heavyweight Title held by Valuev.

          Wladimir Klitschko vs Alexander Povetkin

Povetkin is going to be trained by Teddy Atlas and probably have a warm-up first but as Wlad's No.1 contender he is up next for the Ukrainian. Wlad is the IBF and WBO Champion.

          Vitali Klitschko vs Chris Arreola

The elder Klitschko is in negotiations to make a voluntary defense against America's Heavyweight hope Arreola. Vitali's WBC belt will be on the line.

          ----------

All three fights are likely to take place this year and would certainly make it a Great Year for a division that has been in the doldrums.

          Who wins?
I say Haye by KO around 9

Wlad KO's Povetkin easy in 7

Call me crazy but i see Arreola sendind Vitali into retirement with bad early KO

The Russian Giant is listed as the sole heavyweight champion, with Ruslan Chagaev having been moved to the number one spot of the rankings. Furthermore, Chagaev is not considered “champion in recess” any more. “We welcome the WBA´s decision,” said Chris Meyer, General Manager of Team Sauerland. “It confirms what we have been saying for a long time – that Nikolai Valuev is the undisputed WBA Heavyweight Champion.”

Chagaev had twice pulled out of fights with Valuev in May and July 2008. The third attempt – a fight in Helsinki – fell through in May 2009 when Chagaev was unable to fulfil the Finnish boxing federation´s medical requirements. “Since the new ratings clearly state who the true champion is, we can now submit the applications for official approval of Niko´s next fight – the voluntary defence against David Haye,” Meyer added.

Valuev´s clash with Haye is scheduled for November 7.

            Thank you.

Has Universum responded on behalf of Chagaev? I reckon them to be p!ssed.
