Yeah a real man would have, but Resto didnt, and he knows that. And now he has had the rest of his life to kick his own ass over it. Imagin making one mistake, and now you got to be ashamed to be yourself and look in the mirror for the rest of your life. Thats a harsh punishment.Yeah, man ; I watched it just a moment ago.
My opinion of Resto has shifted a little bit.
However ; I still think he was in the wrong, and was a coward to continue to beat on Collins once he knew the gloves were tampered with.
It's easy to have remorse after the fact like Resto does now, but it takes a real man to own up to it as soon as he has knowledge of it. I sympathize with him a bit more now, than I did before I saw the Documentary. But I still think he should've been a man and came clean immediately, instead of ducking and hiding for 26 years.
As for Lewis ; he's a piece of ****. No, he's less than that.
I can't believe a scummy motherfucker like him is still able to train fighters, make money, and enjoy a certain amount of Celebrity ontop of it.
Absolute scum.Comment

That was total horse****.In a way.Lewis promised to make him a assistant trainer someday when ''he gets money and a good fighter'' like he doesn't already.
When Resto said ''**** you'' I thought it would have been a good ending to ust knock that prick out.
But Lewis did take him in his good stable at the time and Resto was just a tough journeyman so he probablyu feels like he owes something to him or something.
Either way it's BS.
Talking about how he was going to help Resto once he got everything sorted out, got a good fighter, and could make money again.
Meanwhile the prick is decked out head to toe in gold and platinum necklaces, watches, rings, and other ****.Comment

Yeah really, im sure he didnt train Zab for cheap. Meanwhile Resto is all but homeless.Comment

That's part of the reason why I sympathize with him a bit more over it.Yeah a real man would have, but Resto didnt, and he knows that. And now he has had the rest of his life to kick his own ass over it. Imagin making one mistake, and now you got to be ashamed to be yourself and look in the mirror for the rest of your life. Thats a harsh punishment.
But that's one enormous mistake to make.
As a fan of this sport, I know how high the risks are already to any man's health when he steps between the ropes.
Resto did it professionally so he was even more aware of it than I.
And to knowingly go ahead with it, like he did?
That's one tragic mistake.
I pass judgment on no man, and like I said ; I sympathize with Resto more now than I ever have before.
But as a fan who looks up to and respects these guys ; compounding the risk of injury is something I simply cannot forgive.Comment

Seemed to me that Collins wife was kind of blaming Collins father also. She said fights were offered to Collins Jr. but Collins Sr. wouldn't let him fight for fear of losing the lawsuits.Comment

I do wish Resto nothing but good in the future though.
I hope he can get his life sorted out, walk with his head held a little higher taking comfort in the fact that he at least had the balls to come clean, and maybe find a good fighter to train outside the ring like Lewis and make some money from it.
If Lewis is allowed to make a comfortable living doing it ; I see no reason why Resto shouldn't also be given the same opportunity.Comment

yea collins sr seemed like a pretty ****ty dude too.
But wasn't Collins told not to fight, because he could go blind?
I dunno, Lewis is a complete peice of ****. That's all there is too it, I don't understand why anyone would want to learn from that guy. Although I guess it's like he's not in their corner.
How are you gunna say some **** like give me the one I mixed and not remember theres cameras shooting everything.
It was a pretty good watch though. Can't believe Collins wouldn't go down though, crazy ****.Comment

Yeah,it's ridicolous.
Resto prolly knows himself he ain't gonna get the call from Lewis. He just wanted out.
IMO he should go back to Puerto Rico or something and train.Comment
