HBO documantry on Resto and Collins fight, anyone watch it?

Did anyone see "assault in the ring"? The HBO documentary on the Collins and Resto fight? Resto finally confesses that he knew that Panama Lewis messed with his gloves and wraps, he also says that Panama Lewis would mix some kind of pills in his water to give him energy.
They show a video clip of the Pryor vs Arguello fight(Panama Lewis was Pryors trainer)where Lewis asks for the bottled water, when the guy goes to hand it to him he clearly says "no not that one, the one that I mixed"(Arguello was stoped in the very next round).
It shows Resto at first saying he didnt know anything, then when a conversation with an undercover cop get dug up Resto confesses on camera. They show him confesing to Collins wife. Then he confesses to his own wife and kids. And finally he confronts Panama Lewis. Resto makes Lewis take off his shades and look him in the eyes to say he didn't tamper with the gloves, when Lewis does so Resto responds with "****You". Resto looked torn apart and truely sorry. He visits Collins grave and sat by it crying, saying "I shouldn't have worn the gloves man". It was a good watch, Panama Lewis seems like a grimey ass dude.
He's still training by the way. He trained Zab Judah for the Cotto fight, so much for a lifetime ban.

Altough what Resto did was wrong and he was punished there is no freakin way justice was served.Made me sick to see Panama Lewis have all those gold bling-blings on him, fancy watch and all that and Resto is a poor guy.Made me sick seeying Lewis charge money for the interview.

And Lewis was bull****ting to the end and not admitting. For a second at the end when Resto confronted Lewis I thought he was gonna punch Lewis and knock'em out.

        The whole thing is BS.

Yeah, man ; I watched it just a moment ago.

My opinion of Resto has shifted a little bit.

However ; I still think he was in the wrong, and was a coward to continue to beat on Collins once he knew the gloves were tampered with.

It's easy to have remorse after the fact like Resto does now, but it takes a real man to own up to it as soon as he has knowledge of it.

I sympathize with him a bit more now, than I did before I saw the Documentary. But I still think he should've been a man and came clean immediately, instead of ducking and hiding for 26 years.

As for Lewis ; he's a piece of ****. No, he's less than that.

I can't believe a scummy motherfucker like him is still able to train fighters, make money, and enjoy a certain amount of Celebrity ontop of it.

          Absolute scum.

              Agreed.

Seeing that lowlife piece of **** with no soul Lewis decked out in expensive ***elry, taking pictures with people, and proclaiming how wronged he was by the system made me ill.

And yeah ; I thought Resto was going to knock his block off at the end, too. The way he couldn't look at him, and his heavy breathing through the mouth really made me think something was about to go down.

But he's still under Lewis' spell.

It seemed to me as if Lewis had no remorse for anything that happened. The way he was making fun of Resto for crying when he was talking to the guy at the bar was a ***** move. Especially after the way he acted when Resto was crying in front of him, he acted like he understood Resto and his pain.

I think it's tragic that Resto is still struggling to this day while Panama Lewis can go around training fighters and getting good money for it.

What the documentary really showed is how worthless the athletic commisions really are.

Also, wtf didn't the case get reopened. These ****ers in the athletic commision, should seriously be held liable for everything that's happenned. It will set a precedent for other commissions to quit ****ing around and do their jobs... To some extent, Cotto should do the same thing to prevent this kind of **** from happening again.

Yeah, **** that POS. I was hoping Resto mollywhop him outside that gym in Florida when he kept telling Panama to take his glasses off.

But he's still under Lewis' spell.

In a way.Lewis promised to make him a assistant trainer someday when ''he gets money and a good fighter'' like he doesn't already.

When Resto said ''**** you'' I thought it would have been a good ending to ust knock that prick out.
But Lewis did take him in his good stable at the time and Resto was just a tough journeyman so he probablyu feels like he owes something to him or something.
                    Either way it's BS.
