One thing i think people are missing is that if you watch the fight...the headbutt occurs then Nate has a real hard time defending himself and gets caught with some big flush shots. He was losing the fight before the butt however he seemed helpless after it. Maybe he was having trouble seeing where the punches were coming from at the point, mabe he was stunned and the punches stunned him even more. Either way after the heads collided something changed. For that reason alone I don't blame him for not going on if he couldn't properly defend himself.

If something is in my eye, yes.

A detatched retina isn't a foreign object/substence in your eye. You will see something there but it isn't like its aggravating your eye. Most of the time, your eye will just feel normal but for some reason this object wont leave from in front of your vision. Most people dont even know their eye is damaged until they finally see a doctor about the thing that wont get out from in front of their face.

He would've been blinking up a Desert Storm had that fight gone on any longer.

I would think this is true for most people.

I don't really remember him blinking his eye at all at any time after the fight was stopped.

          Can anyone elaborate on this?
          1. Campbell had nothing "in" his eye.

          2. You've never been in that situation so you really shouldn't compare yourself to it

          3. You have an agenda

leonards injury was caused during training in 82 not during a fight

Actually Leonard injured the eye training for Hearns in 81. It is believed that Hearns caused further damage to the eye. Leonard had surgery for that in 82.
