Cotto will come in at 147

I don't know how much Cotto is getting for this fight but if he is finding it hard to come down to 145 then staying at 146 and loosing a million dollars might well be a good shout.

However, I believe Cotto will make the weight ok. He won't be 100% but he should still have plenty in the tank.

Haha. I put forth this suggestion a few months ago, but it got shot down by a few self-righteous pricks.

I still think it'd be hella funny. Yeah, Roach and Pac would be sniggering in one sense that they'd make some more money from a Cotto fine, but then that realisation would dawn upon them that Cotto isn't messing around and playing to their drumbeat.

That would actually be so funny....and i do like pacquiao alot but totally agree with cotto on this one...it wasnt for the belt..its not at 145...it should be up to him if he wants to defend it or not...

And if the fight still went ahead with cotto at 147...and pac nowhere near that...tht **** would be crazy...(imagine if pac stil won lol he wld be rightfully the champ to be fair! couldnt imagine that happening tho, well wiv pac i cld more then any1 else)

I've always believed the catchweight was a ****** idea in the 1st place anyway and nothing more than a formality. Every new article that comes out on this fight reinforces my view.

WBO will put the belt on the line whether or not Cotto agrees.

Since the belt will be on the line anyway Cotto has every right to come in at 147 and make Pacquiao earn it the hard way whether or not Roach agrees.(I say roach because i dont think Pacquiao cares if the fight was at light heavyweight he'd still fight him)

Cotto may end up paying a million per pound so instead of 15mil he'd earn 13mil. Still more than double his highest purse to date so who cares.

Like i've been tellin people for weeks....quit bitchin about the catchweight. It's not going to matter. It's still going to be a full on welteweight fight in the end. Every day that goes by the more it seems like it will.

Actually TS, your plan can work to perfection if Cotto vacates the title.

If Cotto vacates the title, then the WBO will proceed to make the fight for the vacant title that Pacquiao only can win because Cotto vacated it. Now since is at a catweight, Cotto can come in at 147 and teh commission cant penalize Cotto because WW is from 141-147, neither the sanctioning body because Cotto aint paying the fees because Cotto vacated the totle and cant fight for it right away.

So he can come in at 147 and tell everyody to **** off and still not get fine!!!!

Pac will probably come in between 140-142 officially. He came in at 138 for the Hatton fight so he's small for even jww.

Cotto will come in at 147
