Remember, the 135, 140, 147, 154, 160, 168 are all "limits"

Travis,my dude,I understand u quite well, all I'm saying is 99% of welterweight title fights are fought at the limit, why should the champ, the champ, give up the purse the weight and everything else?If Pacman wants the title,he's already getting the lions share, the champ deserves to defend where he normally does!!

pac wont be 141 though, i just used that as an example. and i've no problem with Cotto being 145 either. Im just sick of this back and forth ****. The title can be on the line with a 145 limit, and it can be on the line if 1 guy weighs 147 and the other weighs 141.
I dont care about the title. Just wanna see a good fight. Cotto v Pac at a limit of 145 is fine by me. As is a limit of 147. They can fight for the belt, or throw it in the bin.

Just wanna see a good fight where the best man wins. I'd prefer a limit of 147 though as it eliminates excuses and i dont want to hear any. Cotto dropping 1 extra pound from his last fight, with 4 months advanced warning is no big deal. which is why Roach should let the limit be 147.

yeah but if you don't let a fighter come in at the weight he wants within that limit and take 2 pounds off of it, it's not a welterweight fight.
a welterweight fight is from 141 to 147 as you stated.. it is NOT from 141 to 145.

That's my positioning. If Pacman is to challenge for the WW title, allow the champion to fight as his comfortable WW weight...and Pacman can weigh 141 for speed if he wants to or 147 for more strength and bulk if he wants"...but the CHAMP is a WW..he should be able to be 147 if he wants
