roach is starting to realize that little pac is not fighting hattton or hoya and he wants out. 1st they put the fight at a catchweight when they already fought and won at 147 and now this bull**** for that ****** belt. if roach is going to cancel a major fight and event because of the same belt he says is not important then we know why. all he needs to do is iok the fight for ww limit and the belt is on the line

This fight is not gonna get cancelled for some meaningless belt. If Pac wants the belt then he should allow Cotto to come at the WW limit. Pac doesn't have to be at the limit to challenge for it (Chavez vs Whitaker). If he fought DelaHoya at 147 why not Cotto. Pac is challenging for the title and to be great he has to take the risk(are you reading Floyd). True path to boxing greatness are the fighters that take risk in fights they can loose and win.

They have given every concession to the Pac crew. Soon they are gonna dictate the ring size, glove use, etc. Cotto shouldn't cave in to their demands unless he is allowed to come at the limit and somebody pay for those extravagant sactioning fees.

Agreed 100% Cotto has worked too hard at Welter to let someone take his belt by obviously trying to catch him weight drained. DLH fell for it but Cotto wont. What pisses me off with Roach and pacteam is that pacman and cotto both signed to fight at 145 with no title. BOTH OF THEM ! Now he wants title but at 145? NO ! If you want title fight, let it be at the weight that cotto won it and cotto is comfortable...147. Pacman, you say you want to fight the best but just don't want to fight them at THEIR best.

why would cotto choose to vacate the title if he's so adamant about defending it at 147lbs...makes no sense, sounds to me like he's afraid he's gonna lose to pac-man, and he doesn't want to lose his title too......he wants to have his cake and eat it too....if cotto is taking this fight and thinks he's gonna beat pac-man, why make all this noise now about his title......

WBO can make manny the ww champion if he wins.......without the need for cotto to put the belt on the line.
valcarel said that manny just make a letter request to that effect and pay the sanction fee, his share, of $150K.
cotto will be stripped of his title if he refuses to agree to pay the fee before the fyt.

it is wbo's sole discretion to decide on the title, not cotto!!
