These are all the WBO Former Champions and Current Champion.
What gives Pacquiao the right to fight for this belt at the weight he feels is right?
Pac is good but he isnt any better than any of these guys.

    Genaro Leon 147
    Manning Galloway 146 3/4
    Gert Bo Jacobsen 147
    Eammon Loughran 146 1/2
    Jose Luis Lopez 147
    Michael Loewe 147
    Ahmed Kotiev 147
    Daniel Santos 147
    Antonio Margarito 147
    Paul Williams 147
    Carlos Quintana 147
    Miguel Cotto 147

Pac is trying to go around the real way a champion earns the welterweight title.

So the catch weight is fair, in that Pacquiao is moving up 5 pounds, and Cotto is only dropping two.

And believe me, no one is going to look back and say that the 2 pound cut for Cotto cost him the fight, if he loses.
I agree with every single point you made. Again, why hold up this great fight over a ****** belt. Isn't Pac going to face Mosley or PBF if he wins? He can get his linear championship then. To be clear, I dont think PAC is afraid, he is just receiving bad counsel.

Do you not understand the FACT that Cotto is playing second fiddle in this fight ?

He is the B-side in the promotion, and you're a damn fool if you don't see that.

This is the reason why he is not in a position to raise any stakes. This is why he didn't get to choose the weight, only agree to one.

This is the reason why the fight is in Vegas, and not in Madison Square Garden.

I hear you, but you know...Team Pacquiao is just using the leverage they earned by climing the ladder to the top. Can't blame 'em.

I mean, I guess they want to milk it for everything its worth.

And what happens if Pacquiao wins? If Antonio Margarito, Joshua Clottey or Mosley wants a title fight against Pacquiao, in which weight will be? Will be limited to 145lb? Based on your comment, if Pacquiao wins, the WW division will be up to 145lb based on Pacquiao rules.............

Pac fought De La Hoya, who according to the boxing experts posting on this site, was weight drained, dehydrated, shot, a zombie, a walking corpse, and had no chance.

That was his lone fight above 140 pounds, and his first of only 2 above 135, where again, he only had one fight.

Pacquiao and Marquez are both natural lightweights, by stature. So its only a testament to both of their skills and abilities that they are able to move up and still be effective.

The debate is over 2lbs.2lbs were talking about here.Ok,so you say there no range weight in welterweight yada yada. What's the whole purpose of making it at 145?

147 is a limit and its clear as day.Let cotto com in at 147 and if pac wants to be under thats his problem.Keep in mind 147 is what u try to stay under.

AGAIN AND TIME AGAIN THIS IS COMING DOWN TO WEAKIN A MAN TEMPORARY.

CAN YOU ANSWER THE QUESTION AS TO WHY ROACH SAID HE WANTED COTTO AT 143 to begin with?

              TO WEAKIN HIM!

147 and cotto's on full blast.there must be some way to stop that potential ehhh?....

I understand man. I wasn't talking to you. Its the joker that keeps screaming about raising the stakes and making it for the belt: his logic is all messed up. I personally do not care if neither (147 or the belt) happens. I just want the fight. They both compromised and its a fair fight. I am a boxing fan first and cotto fan second. Hell I gave Pac a standing ovation when I saw him at MSG. I also try to be objective and I just get frustrated by those that are so evidently not.

Notice that that joker has yet to respond, and if he does it will be about some completely different point. That's what happens when one's logic reaches a dead end.

And just for the record: Too bad Cotto will end Pac's amazing run ; )

He wont be second fiddle after this fight...lol

Cotto knows that this is the biggest fight of his career but NOT the hardest fight of his career.
Keep throwing gas on the fire Pac,,,,he will get burnt.
He is waking a sleeping giant,

You can't be the 147 champ if you don't fight at 147.. Simpel as that. The Weightclass is there for a reason.
