I wouldn't even agree that it wouldn't be AS dominating a performance because of JMM style. We know Diaz loves to come forward, so does Pac that's why they went at it the way they did but JMM is a counter puncher and against Diaz I think he picks him apart from the outside.

I could see this fight stopped from cuts or KO earlier than you might think. He stood toe 2 toe with Juan Diaz , something he shouldn't have done and dominated Juan for the majority of the fight. He boxes David Diaz and he could easily KO him or ref stoppage...

Very, very true.

Marquez is certainly a counterpuncher first and foremost, but he does like to scrap from time to time as well.

Kind of reminds me of how Whitaker always was credited for his masterful defense, but never got any props for enjoying the occasional scrap as well.

Most of the Pinoys I've conversed with here share a healthy amount of respect for Marquez, and vice versa with Mexicans and Pacquiao.

Might actually end up being a pretty good fight. Diaz is a pretty good hitter. If he hit Marquez like he did Holt it would be lights out for Marquez. I say Marquez would win by a wide ud though. Diaz has a pretty good chin.
