I never in a million years thought I would say this, but... Lets go Cotto! I'm no fan of Cotto (or Pacquiao), but I completely agree with him about having to fight at 147 to get the title. You have to respect the guy to be willing to give up his title if necessary. I bet Bob Arum pulled every trick he could to try to convince him, but he wouldn't budge. Good stuff. Now I just hope Cotto can put a beating on Manny...

Well, somebody needs to tell Manny that the welterweight limit of 147 should be allowed to fight for the welterweight title.

Miguel Cotto just won me over with what he said in this article!
I give respect to him for calling a spade a spade. Roach/Manny think they are slick. I'm leaning towards Cotto on November 14th.

                Damn skippy!

                i have a question.

who has ever heard of a 145 welterweight champion? the weight to be the welterweight champion is 147. so let say cotto puts the belt on the line and he looses (i think he wins but that is besides the point). everybody is going to have to fight pac for that belt at a catchweight? i dont ****ing think so. you are either a welterweight or not. he is getting the most money and still wants the belt but doesnt want to fight at 147. **** THAT! he fought hatton at 140. they didnt fight at 138 right? I am in total aggreance with Cotto on this.

IF this fight is for Miguel Cotto belt and IF Manny Pacquiao
wins it will be bitter sweet in a way because he didn't get
it at the 147Lb limit. Even though the weight is under the
official WW limit I still feel like the belt should only be on
the line if it is 147Lb fight
. Seems like Pacquiao and the
whole Top Rank is pimping Cotto. I know people will bug
out once I say this but I really hope Cotto wins and puts
an end to this Manny mania because Roach and the gang
are pulling some ill $#!t nowadays.
Go Cotto! Don't let these catz try to pimp you out.
Their basically trying to use Cotto as another example
on how great Manny is? Cotto better put the business
on homey! I like Manny too BUT someone needs to
                    stop them.
