Miguel Cotto Will Be Very Dangerous Early, Says Ariza

Conditioning expert Alex Ariza who helped get Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao into tremendous shape for his devastating performances against David Diaz, Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton, believes that WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto will be “very dangerous for the first few rounds” of his “Fire Power” showdown against Pacquiao on November 14 in Las Vegas. Cotto needs to get some damage in early to stand any chance in this one. Going to be a war!

I got Pacman winning this in the later rounds by stoppage.

I agree with Ariza.. the only way i see this fight favoring cotto will be an early KO against manny. If manny becomes careless its possible. But if cotto will over do it.. he will end up like hatton. A cut is also possible, so cotto should fight very smart to beat pacman. not technical but smart..

I got Cotto winning in 3rnds via KO if not I got Pacman winning with a TKO in 9 rounds or a split D.

This article seems about right. Though lets see how Cotto can damage Pac in the early rounds, and if its body shots then i dont see Pac winning no later rounds as ppl say.. and i know that Pac will not KO Cotto, if he wins its by Decision. Lets be real here ppl.

Anyone else besides me feel that Ariza needs to....in the words of the rock:
"Know his role and shut his mouth"???

Dude's no trainer. Just a conditioning expert. He's in no position to be talking strategy whatsoever.

As far as Pacquiao's training camp....why the ba*****??? I thought Pac had made good friends with Erik Morales. Why not train in Erik's gym just a couple of hours south of the california border to at least keep acclimated to the weather.

If you want to be real, you should have said "I guess pac will not KO Cotto" than saying you know it.. Coz everything is possible during fight night.

How can an iron nail penetrate a solid brick..? you hammer it several times.. just like manny, he might not KO cotto with one sunday punch but several solid blows in the face might do it.. a cut is also possible to open up for cotto and that will be his worst case scenario.

Stoppage at rnd 9 for manny or early KO for Cotto. or if cotto do a suicide move like hatton, he shall suffer the same fate..
