arreola/vitali is 50/50, i'll reserve judgement until its closer to the fight. i dont vitali is going to be able to handle an in shape, well conditioned arreola with a good gameplan. but thats just the thing arreola hasn't really faced many top 10 HW's, fighting in a foreign environment may actually intimidate him and arreola doesn't have a great team behind him imo.

as for williams vs pavlik iv got williams via clear UD. his southpaw stance, chin and angles will be too much for pavlik, pavlik might do well because williams advantages in reach and workrate are neutralised by pavlik but i still think williams will have too much for him.
I'll bet whatever points I have that "The Nipple" wont even see the 12th round against Vitali. He is getting knocked the **** out, and early.

Not enough has been seen of Vitali lately to say how much of his former self is still in there, but if he's even 70% he will destroy Arreola. Its not like he has the hand speed like Corrie Sanders (who looks like Evander Holyfield compared to Arreola) nor does he have the chin I saw on Sanders. I just dont see how he connects with Vitali. Even if he does I dont think theres a way he can KO Vitali and if this bout reaches 8 rounds I don't think Arreola answers the bell. Also Vitali has more experience by himself than Arreola and his entire corner. Vitali got hurt by Sanders early in that bout because he took some chances and fell for Sanders' possum tactics. It wasnt like Vlad who buckled under the pressure. Vitali wants guys to come to him, he struggles on the offensive. I'm a little disappointed with this fight, Arreola has beaten no one and he really isnt that great of a name world wide. Would have much rather seen that Haye fight or Valuev. If its in the Staples Center I don't see how thats an advantage for anyone. Vitali's fought well there and its Arreola's home town. Also if this is Vitali's last fight I don't think it puts some fantastic cap on his legacy...all it will look like is that he exposed a fat guy with an impressive amateur resume...100 lbs ago, and has beaten a lot of bums who for some reason stood in front of him and exchanged blow for blow. Just watch the Walker fight...Walker had him, but for some reason decided not to move and just stand there.

I've always liked the Goosen Clan, and I'm glad to see how hard they're working for their fighters in the age of these mega-promoters...Pavlik, on the other hand, is being seriously mishandeled.

Agreed. And that ass in your avatar is also a welcome sight.

I don't give Pavlik a chance in hell in this fight. Look what Pop-Shotkins did to him.
I like Paul Williams too, but I'm not a delusional nuthugger. The dude was getting tagged flush against Phillips and Mitchell. I know he is more versatile than Pavlik, but Pavlik has that power. Another thing people overlook is that bad scar tissue above Paul's eye of where it's been cut several times. It happened in the Margarito fight, the first Quintana fight, and in the Phillips fight. Williams might have a good chin but he could get busted up from sheer power if Pavlik hits him flush. The more I think about it, I actually slightly lean toward Pavlik. But we don't know if he can return to his initial form because the Rubio fight was no measuring stick. Winky Wright was a good win for Williams, but we didn't get to find out Paul can really take a Middleweight punch.

what legacy? He's made a career of beating fat out of shape guys.peter(30lbs),gomez(natural cw),Williams(270),Johnson(40lbs over),sanders(20lbs over),even lewis was out of shape.his last 2 opponents who were in shape were donald & bean.he had 40 pounds on them.every opponent he's fought since 2002 has been fat & grossly overweight.he's got nothing for a legacy.his resume is clearly nothing close to a great one.his best names lewis & Byrd he lost to.he is the most overrated boxer in years!he beats up out of shape boxers that's it.

lmfao pwill couldn't hang with jermain taylor, edison miranda and much less Kelly pavlik. Pwill is way over his head. Im sure they know it and a reason for them demanding alot of money.

Can't sign off on that. That's why I view this fight as so intriguing. Miranda is a club fighter with power. Hell, Ward beat Miranda by decision and took seven rounds to stop Ande Kolle and Paul Williams knocked Kolle's ass flat in the first round. Taylor may have a puncher's chance against Williams, but his lack of stamina would be his doom. In fact, I think if Williams ever hurt Pavlik as bad as Taylor did in the second round of the first fight he would stop Pavlik or at least come closer to stopping him than Taylor did. He might not have what it takes to do it with one punch, but he wouldn't let up on the volume.
