whats ****ed up is that [i believe, not too sure] that Silva has that Slave Contract Champions Clause in his contract where he cant leave while he's still the current belt holder..if thats true that sucks..i aint sayin he's gonna take a dive but he mentioned that forrest griffin is his toughest test to date...forrest griffin?

If its a boxing match, then Silva will get sonned. If it is one of those mma things Roy will get KOed.

Good. I don't want any excuses when Roy dusts him off.

Actually I think Roy will go very easy on Silva.

First off Roy doesn't have a mean bone in his body.

Secondly, he knows boxing with Roy is Silva's childhood dream. I really doubt he's going to KO the poor prick while he's living his dream, you know?

I actually see this as a glorified sparring session.

Roy won't want to hurt this dude. Anderson idolizes Roy, and Roy knows that.

Roy also knows he's shot to **** and can't compete with the elites in the boxing game these days.

I see him taking it very easy on Silva, not really sitting down on his shots, doing more clowning than punching, and occasionally letting Silva tag him.

The messed up part would be if Roy wanted to let Silva tag him and Silva ended up laying Roy out on his ass.

Bringer, if they had an MMA match, Jones would get KTFO and that is guaranteed. No doubt Jones should be better technically at boxing. Isn't that the skill he's been mastering for years? Don't disregard that Silva has legitimate power though if this fight goes through. Jones should be favored but I really wouldn't count Silva out.

Why do you boxing fans hate MMA so much? Are you scared that MMA is becoming so popular that people are gonna forget about boxing?

Seriously, the hate is on the boxing side...Whenever any MMA fans trash boxcing it seems like a bunch of MMA fans jump in and call them out on it.

Whether its boxing or mxied martial arts, these guys are fighters and competitors and to disrespect people that put so much effort into their craft is something I wouldnt expect from combat sport fans. However, that's why the trashing comes mainly from the FANS and rarely the FIGHTERS...Because most fans never step in a ring OR cage.

would be funny if it was a boxing match and Anderson forgot and threw a head kick

Well, Silva is the one that wanted to box Roy. Not the other way around.

So it only makes sense that Silva would go over to Roy's world to do it.

Besides ; MMA guys are complete fighters, right? They train in boxing all the time. And Silva's background is a boxing one.

So he is the perfect candidate to see whether or not an MMA guy's striking ability with his fists really is anywhere near a pro boxer's.

And he's the UFC's very best striker.

I don't see either of them going for a knockout, or even looking to hurt one another.

How could Anderson go in there and want to take Roy's head off, knowing he's fulfilling his dream and boxing with his childhood hero?

And how could Roy go in there and want to take Silva's head off, knowing he's in there with a guy that looked up to him as a child?

I see a bull**** glorified sparring session all the way ; with Jones making it very easy on Silva.
