No problem since he can fight again for the vacant title against Jennings.

That must be some sort of childish statements because I dont even get it. Is this one of those "Cotto Rules"?
Before Cotto fought for a vacant title no one even discussed vacant or not...IS he the champ thats it.
Taking a knee was normal until Cotto did it. All hell breaks loose.
Cotto's corner throws in towel...and Cotto is a quitter...and it goes on and on...The Cotto rules. "Let a hater do his damn job, that's what they do!"- Kat Williams,

cotto is in a win win situation. if he gets stripped thats fine. it only means he gets another crack at a vacant title.
if cotto loses, that's even better. pacquiao most likely will relinquish the belt and cotto can fight for another vacant title.

So in the end win or lose cotto can go down in history as the first ever to win 4 vacant belts. That will make him a HOF shoe in

There's things that I don't like about what both of these guys are doing. I don't like of how Pacquiao is making Cotto drop down to 145 of course, but I also don't like of how Cotto doesn't want to put his belt on the line. He'll have to pay a sanctioning fee anyway so why wouldn't he put it on the line? I know that it is ****** for the WBO to make Cotto pay the fee for this fight if he decides to not put his title on the line, but it does give me and other people the impression that he is not confident of victory if he is not willing to put his strap on the line.

Is Cotto so mad about paying the sanctioning fee that this is his way of sticking it to them? I don't think this fight should be marketed as a title fight because of who Cotto won his title off of if you want my honest opinion. Pacquiao should only be recognized as a 7 division champion if he beats Shane Mosley and not Miguel Cotto. I know that the IBF stripped Clottey, but if you get mad about that then you should consider the fact that the IBF belt should actually belong around Mosley's waist since Margarito was stripped before beating Cotto. Clottey got that belt handed to him on a silver platter as well. The only way I'm paying for this bull**** fight is if Arum really does throw Valero-Soto on the undercard.

Could not have been better said.

“Manny Pacquiao is the best fighter supposedly … whatever,” he said Thursday on a conference call, which included Campbell. “He’s the poster kid. He’s not fighting the best in the division, though. He’s fighting bigger fighters who are cutting weight and chopping them up because they’re weakened coming down in weight.”~Timothy Bradley

I'm not sure who to root for. I think that if the 147 belt is on the line Cotto should be able to come in @ 147 not catch weight bs.

But at the end of the day Cotto weighed in @ 146 for the Clottey fight so 1 more pound shouldn't be a problem. We just have to worry about that cut. I don't want it to cost us a great fight and the **** gets stopped.

That's my only concern. If we can see like 5-6 rounds of great action I will feel like it's worth the money. If either gets blasted in the 1st 2 rounds I'll be pissed.
