if the belts on the line i woulda prefered it at the ww limit ... but that said its makes the fight a lil more meaningful and ncreases the drama as well ... starting to get excited for the matchup, i hope the card as a whole is good as well ...

What if Pacman tells Cotto, if you will not defend the belt, I will fight Mosley and give him the 5 million you will earn fighting me. Sad to say Cotto loves money more than his belt and eventually give in.

All these are part of negotiations to get more money. Sad to say Pacman is the man in boxing right now. But Cotto has the chance to beat the man to be the man. Thats what makes this fight more interesting

He has the right to say that and i"ll respect that also but he won't make as much money as fighting Cotto because the fight will be co-promted and Arum will not be able to offer him what he's been offered now. By the way Cotto will make more than the 5 million that you mentioned for fighting Pacquiao.

I agree with you that Pacman is the man in boxing that's why he's getting most of the advantage on this fight and deservingly so.

If the fight is made for the title or not i will still be as hyped up as i am now, it's just that i dont get why a WW title should be involved when you are restricting the WW divsion official rules for that fight by limiting the weight range to 141-145 when the official rules are 141-147.

I have expressed this several times and it's nothing against the boxers it is against the organization that started this whole title on the line mess just to get paid.

By the way Cotto has just said today in enid.com (Puerto Rican Newspaper El Nuevo Dia) that he wont care if the organization remove him from the belt and that the title is secundary for him, and that if neccesary he will turn in the title.

I'm not saying that this doesn't mean that he will probably be convinced but i'm proud of his expressions buy not letting Fransico Varcarcel have his way.

I beleive that in order for the title to be involed their will be a lot of convincing to do by Arum and he will have to pay for Cotto's fees.

I thought the fight was signed!!!! A CONTRACT is a contract. if the belt isn't in when they signed how can they let Manny hold it ransom like he loves doing.....

Besides if Manny wants the Belt then there should be NO CATCHWEIGHT!!!!

Cotto will be on the P4P list if he beats Pacquiao. So if he does that, that will give him more bargaining power for future fights than a title belt. But Pacquiao is going to bust his ass. I don't understand why Pacquiao isn't going for Cotto's title at 147, because I think he could beat Cotto even without a catch weight. I'm not a Cotto fan, but I do sympathize with him a little bit for having to drop a couple of pounds, and part of me wants to see it back fire on Pacquiao. I hope whoever wins the fight actually gets the victory though. We don't need a bad decision in this fight regardless of who takes it.
