If ALI died at the peak of his popularity, when there were headlines about him everyday in the 70's, the world would have stopped but now hes been there, done it all, and if he dies now atleast people can say he had a full life, he had his time. Hes a legend, the day he dies, it'll hurt a lot. Someone like Ali rarely ever comes and when they do, you have to appreciate them, so much charisma.....

It will be a sad day but not as big as MJ. Even though Ali is as big a legend. Its just like people are almost counting the clock down for Ali already it seems.
Ali having been punched in the face for half his life and now having parkinsons he seems to have had a good lifespan IMO. But hopefully he will last much longer.

He spoke out against the war of his era....should he have spoken about a war that took place 40 years earlier? He spoke out against one that was fought by americans...many of whom didnt have any freedom to fight for in the first place...like kids in Alabama who couldnt eat at the same restaurant as men they served alongside in the jungle

Frazier couldn't see, he would have been fighting completely blind, and no trainer should ever allow that. Joe had nothing left to prove at that point.
Listen, fighters want to quit ALL THE TIME when they are sitting on the stool....all fighters know that feeling...you say u are going to quit, u wanna' quit etc...then the bell rings...and you DO get back up...

I have NO doubts Ali would have gotten up had Joe not stopped first...

Not the way Ali did, of course in any sport that deals with physical punishment and exhaustion there will be times where you want to stop/quit/doubt. I know. There are times when you're like **** why am I doing this, I'm ****ing tired, and so on. But Ali seemed to resign him self. When you DO get back up you either in your mind have agreed to keep trying or just plain have the will to.

What do u mean, he seemed to resign himself?????? He won the 14th round IN HUGE FASHION...he came back to the corner and was exhausted...he looked tired...maybe he wanted to quit...but he didnt quit...Joe did, period...Ali wouldnt get up to face Joe for one more round to close out a fight he was winning handily? You underestimate the heart, my man...its like urban legend, folklore that Ali was going to quit and people ran with it...like you are doing here...
