Campbell speakin' the truth on boxing politics!

campbell interview from 3:30 on, he talks about ring rankings, GBP, GBP fighters, unfair hype, how juan diaz lost to him and is still gonna have a big fight where if he losses he'll be done, undefeated records mean ****, people not fighting the best, calzaghe slapping (lol), and boreing pay per views.

he makes valid points in here, why the media hypes up fighters who have never gone threw any adversity, and never even proven themselves,

weve seen this our selves with khan, when he was comin up he was hyped like ape ****, then he got knocked out in lik 50 seconds,
ortiz was gonna be the next oscar, but when he fought a live opponite, he quit.
or on FNF, that vasquez guy was 9-0, lost to a journey man who came to fight, records mean ****.

LOL @ the part "fans pay for pay per view, and the fighters are there huggin holden and kissin, id rather buy ****, cuz at least thats what there supposed to do" LMAO!

and he's right, i personally would rather watch a "emanuel augustus" marothon, then a "cory spinks marothon any day.

agreed with alot of what nate says, some of the best fights generally are below the elite level. there have been some good ones for instance cotto/marg, castillo/corrales, adamek/cunningham, DLH/SSM, JMM/diaz etc.

alot of good fights take place between B level fighters, now these fights are the sort of fights that have fighters with similar skill levels and are competitive. if the casual fans saw these fights they would be interested in boxing but they don't because these bouts dont get the same coverage as dawson/tarver, hopkins/wright, berto/urango, DLH/forbes etc.

also agree with nate that promoters and netowrks create superstars, they should let all the guys fight each other and then see who is the best, who has that star quality and who has set himself apart from the rest. pavlik and lacy are two fighters who were meant to be the next big thing but both were brutally exposed. creating these superstars cons the fans but it also does a huge disrespect to those fighters who are the genuine champions.
