Francisco Montivias Dies From Weekend Bout Injuries

In another tragic ring story, overshadowed by the weekend's passing of Vernon Forrest, heavyweight prospect Francisco Montivias (1-1, 1KOs) died on Saturday night from injuries that he suffered in only his second pro bout. Montivias, 21-years-old, fought Bobby O'Bannan last Friday at Hollywood Casino in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi.
