I'm not comparing them. I was referring to Cotto's performance to Margarito.

You act like Cotto wasn't doing the chicken dance to a jab. Cotto would fight Gatti hard until the 6th or 7th round, he will gass and then wonder why he can't stop Gatti.

If Cotto plays it like he did Mosley, then he would win. Since I believe Cotto wouldn't see the same threat in Gatti as he did Mosley(fast, good defense), he would have kept trying to put Gatti away at which Cotto would have started getting ****ed up by taking unneccesary damage like he did with Margarito(slow, horrible defense). The accumulated damage would have put Cotto away. And if you even think of saying that Cotto would keep up with Gatti in taking damage, this debate is over.

Im a huge fan of Gatti, but come on. Cotto is top level. Gatti (although top rated at one point) never really was.

You just said he was great lol. He had some exciting fights no doubt, but just cause he died and all doesn't make him a great or a legend all of a sudden.

Corrales ring a bell? We can't honestly say he had the most.

Gatti had more heart than Corrales. I never saw Gatti spitting out his mouthpiece twice to buy some time.

I love Gatti and you can't deny the size of his heart and I also have mad respect for Cotto's skills as a fighter but I have to go with... Floyd is a *****.

Dont get me wrong though. I think Cotto has more skill than Gatti. I just dont believe at 140 Cotto is going to win, unless of course the fight is in Madison Square Garden.

no actually it wasnt a jab it was a punch to the side of his head that wobbled him and he recovered and won the fight. if cotto was that easy to beat he would have never beat mosley, quintana, judah ,clottey ect you think that just anyone could do what margs did (possibly with loaded gloves)
to cotto then i think your selling cotto real short. and no i will not argue that cotto could take more punishment then gatti but then again who could

Gatti went to some big ass wars in his career. In my opinion Gatti has the biggest heart in the history of boxing. Corrales is up there also but I have to go with Gatti.
