Joe Calzaghe is a disgrace to boxing

Joe Calzaghe is ridiculous. He constantly talks about how great he is but his resume is terrible. To be the best you gotta be the best and Joe hasn't taken the best matches out there.

How could he when all that was left was bums. All the best super middleweights were either over the hill or retired. And when he beat them, everybody kept whining about how they were sooo old and over the hill. Well, what do you want, they wanted to prove that they are better. Like Hopkins. Imo Joe is not the best super middleweight, but he was the best in his era because Jones had moved up just before Calzaghe made his impact and Hopkins remained middleweight. Toney also moved up. Further and further up.

Here, here. Maybe he summed up all his greatness by beating Bernard Hopkins and RJJ. Lacy was far from the greatest, a worthy opponent nonethless, but Calzaghe did fight half the people out there.

Perhaps he thinks he's so great because he retired undefeated. By fighting who? Cheeseburgers, Tomatoe cans? I can't stand Calzaghe and to think he's retired and people still bring up his name. I hope he stays retired...mark my words 15 years from now people are gonna be sayin Calzaghe who?

When Calzaghe was fighting at Super-middleweight the best was Mikkel Kessler, Calzaghe beat him.

Then Calzaghe moved up to beat the recognised best at Light-Heavyweight, who was Bernard Hopkins.

              End of Discussion.

I've criticized Calzaghe a lot these past years, but in the wake of Vernon's death, I find it unnecssary and low class to call a profesional prize fighter a disgrace.

I'm done with downplaying and discrediting fighters. Although he might not be an ATG, he's done more than you and 99.9% of people ever will for the great sport of boxing. He's great just for that so **** off.
