listen man, when u grow up in a rough neighborhood u learn from a early age u need to protect whats yours. if u hand something over once u are done with. u need to put up a fight or everyone is gon walk all over u for the rest of your life.

its what a man does, its not about the jaguar, its about pride. to u hes handing over a car, to me hes handing over his nuts. if u want to take something from someone like forrest u better be prepared to fight for it. thats the attitude that made him survive on his block and thats what made him a great champion in the ring.

Pride is a ****** concept. Who cares if he handed his car away to save his life? He would have likely gotten the car back soon, or he could always buy another. Instead he's dead and now his son is fatherless and his wife all alone.

ESPN's report is now saying that while Vernon was at the gas station, he had his wallet out, and a guy approached him asking for money. The guy then snatched Vernon's wallet and ran, so Vernon gave chase. The guy turned a corner and Vernon didn't see him, so he began to go back to his car.

On the way back to the car, the guy came back and shot him, and I've read that after he was shot and on the ground, the two guys stood over him and shot him several more times. I've also read that Vernon's gun was never fired.

So all of the talk about him being reckless with his gun should end now, if these details are true.

RIP Forrest..I will never forget how he beat Mosley..i just had this feeling that the next tragedy for boxing will involve prince Hamed..just gut feeling..this is just crazy..hope Naseem Hamed takes care of himself these following weeks..

one of my favorite boxers ever is Shane mosley...i developed MAD respect for Vernon after he beat shane and i have loved him ever since. his death has ****ed me up royally. RIP vern.. you will be missed my friend.
