I'm just calling a spade a spade in stating that he made the ******est move one can make in such a situation. Forget the car, everyone's so focused on "Oh, he was protetcing his car and his ****...." and remember, their was a CHILD in the car. That takes precedence over the car and Vernon didn't do any favors to the kid by going G.I. Joe on the carjackers and trying to chase 'em......

Some of y'all either watch too many ****in' action movies, don't have kids or lack basic common sense.

And before anyone gets mad at what I'm saying and tries to label me as a whiteboy from the 'burbs, nada.......

I'm a Rican from Bushwick, Brooklyn. A place more than likely thrice times as ****** as any place some of y'all rep to the fullest as being Superhood, USA.
You don't know **** about the situation. What we do know is that Vernon Forrest was a stand up guy in and out the ring. If you google up his charity Destiny's Child instead of trying to assume that I'm not more thugish than you you will no whats up. I'm from ********* where heart and being a g is never in question. How do you know that they didn't take the car with the kid in it? How do you know he didn't know these criminals? How do you know anything anout this situation? For Now again the fact is that A good Human being is dead? RIP Vernon Forrest a champ in and out of the ring.

      • And to everybody saying that if he would have gave the car up they would've bounced with his kid, here's a wild idea:

Tell them to take the ****in' car but that you're takin' your kid!

Some of y'all dudes sound plain ****** right now.

Vernon did everything BUT protect the kid with the way he handled it, open your ****in' eyes.

Him being a good man and having a nice charity doesn't excuse the fact that he made a ****** decision and got killed because of it........

But hey, he fought for what was his and they didn't get the Jag, right?

its about the principle. its about pride. u dont give your **** up to nobody! cuz if u do u are handing over your balls along with it. if u dont take a stand when ppl do u wrong u gon be a pushover your whole life.

yall dont see that cuz yall dont have no god damn pride. if he had just handed over the keys maybe hed be breathing, but his manhood would be gone. instead he went out like a warrior. he went out like a true champion, not laying down for nobody.

rather die like a man than live like a coward.
nah man you got it twisted. dude had a kid with him....give up the jag, it has insurance, and you're a millionaire anyways....

at least dude would still be able to feel his balls today.....

that being said, vernon was the victim, this **** is senseless.

            • We dont know the Whole story, and we dont know if Forrest really chased them. Until all the facts are stated, we shouldn't comment on it yet. And i'd use my gun to if somebody tried to car jack me. But

R.I.P. CHAMP!! i Will remember when i wanted Mosley to win the fight against you, but then you beat him instead. You came back after getting knocked out my Mayorga and had a pretty good Career after that, even tho you were on the decline. Forrest is a Warrior and always was one.

yall ******* get the f.uck up outta here.
Fist off i wana say i'm on your side... this should not have happened and pretty upset too... but look at it like this. Your life and the possibility you carry as a human being is not worth any material possession. We can all look in hen sight and have 20/20 vision of maybe how it "should" have gone down... but this is the reality.

Some people who are trapped in a slave mentality are caught up in the material possessions of the world, they won't invest in themselves to try to achieve success with their own two hands by working hard at something... they in tern look for the short cut and opt out because they lack the faith/love in themselves to do so. They are sick people and forgot what it is to be human...

There is nothing that can be created from hate...

be well bro keep your heart in check!
