I want to start off by first saying rest in peace Vernon, this world lost you too soon.

I'm not going to be phony; Vernon and I were not friends. I always got the feeling that he didn't particular like me, but I chalked it up to his distrust of the media more so than anything else. All that is put to rest, there was a lot of good things about him.

I always appreciated how he was with my ex who was one of his therapists. He was very respectful to her and was a good friend to her as well. I saw things in the way he behaved with people that he trusted and saw that there was a lot of good in him, even if I didn't see it on my end.

My condolences to him and his family, he's leaving behind a lot of people that care about him. The people that did this to him, they have it coming to them in a big way.

its not about the god damn car!

its about the principle. its about pride. u dont give your **** up to nobody! cuz if u do u are handing over your balls along with it. if u dont take a stand when ppl do u wrong u gon be a pushover your whole life.

yall dont see that cuz yall dont have no god damn pride. if he had just handed over the keys maybe hed be breathing, but his manhood would be gone. instead he went out like a warrior. he went out like a true champion, not laying down for nobody.

rather die like a man than live like a coward.

My heartfelt condolences go out to his family.

        My goodness.

I can remember seeing a group of his Destiny's Child, Inc. members at his fight once cheering him on.

        May his spirit rest.

To the people that are saying he should've just gave up his car! His girlfriend's son was in the back of the car, how could he give it up? He was protecting himself and his girlfriend's son!

There's just no easy way to describe his situation and what he could or could not have done.

He could've just told them to let him get his son out of the car and they could take it.

Who cares how he would've felt afterwards?

A life is worth much more than a clunk of metal.

NOBODY would have blamed him for giving up a damn car to save his and his family's life.
