Hopkins will dodge Dawson IMO. Hopkins doesn't want any of that.

Why don't you be a little bit objective? Hopkins isn't dodging anybody. The guy is 44 years old and Dawson isn't a perfect fighter. If Hopkins beat Dawson, people would come up with another flavor of the month.

Dawson has bad footwork, I was iffy about this fight at once but now think Hopkins would beat him.

Dawson is too much for Hopkins to handle at this point, Dawson can't hurt him but he will outwork him.

But he'll probably lose to Dawson again. Or it'll be a draw. Hopkins should realize that he's finished at 44. And be grateful that his career lasted so long and that he got a couple lucky wins underway. The last one against Pavlik, he fought a man with a flu, literally.
            Johnson? Knock out Hopkins?

The same Hopkins that's never been knocked out?

The same Hopkins that hasn't been seriously hurt in 15 years?

The same Johnson that Hopkins beat the dogpiss out of 10 years ago?

Sorry. I just find that really comical.

Anywya, Johnson won't be beating Dawson.

It'll be Hopkins vs. "Bad" Chad.

A very interesting matchup with Chad's output and Hopkins' movement.

But seeing as how a 43 year old Hopkins with a thyroid condition was able to cut Joe Calzaghe's workrate in half, and how Dawson's workrate is nothing near Calzaghe's ; I see Hopkins pulling out a decision.

It could go either way, hopefully Dawson wins though.

No matter what happens Hopkins will be robbed if he loses.

As a Dawson fan, I agree with you. Dawson tends to square up when he's on the offense, he sometimes doesn't move in angles like what most pure boxers do. And of course fighting squared up means a slugger or puncher can get to Dawson easier. Although against Johnson, Dawson was moving like Calzaghe, his jab was way off though.

See Dawson vs Adamek, Dawson vs Harding or the first Tarver fight. He has excellent foot work and foot speed when he uses it. It didn't show up in the second Tarver fight because he was more aggressive. I'm expecting him to show some good movement in this Johnson rematch also.

Yea I noticed the footwork when I saw him a few years ago, its because he is a natural right hander though. Nobody has taken full advantage of it yet.
