It sounds to me like this could've been a premature stoppage. I hope Antillon can bounce back and revive his career.

I just watched the fight and I don't even think Antillon was ever really in position to take over this fight. Usually by the 3rd or 4th he's already got his guy beat to the body and head pretty bad, but Acosta avoided a **** load of punishment for the whole 9 rounds. Antillon could hardly land flush to the body or head. In the Harris fight and in this fight, Urbano didn't look as sharp as he did in previous fights. His punches just didn't have that snap to them. I don't know if it's the quality of opponents, or if he's been puttin a little too much into sparring, but even in the Harris fight he looked pretty close to spent after the win, and that was only after 5 rounds.

But yeah, Acosta was landing just about everything sharp. That uppercut, even when he missed the mark, you could see it was there for him to land flush. Antillon needs some head/torso movement bad lol, that and if he can't find the body, just **** the **** out of the arms/elbows or somthin. Regardless though, he didn't look as strong or lively. And the knock down looked like it had to do more with fatigue than anything else. He threw a tired uppercut and got countered with an uppercut. From the angles, it looked like it just hit him to the corner of the chin, it wasn't that flush. Probably why he was able to get to his knee and get up at 8. But even if the ref let the fight continue, I don't think Antillon would know how to move backwards long enough to stay on his feet. Anyways, lol they need to lay off the major sparring sessions for a while. I mean the guy spars every major fighter below 140 I think lol.

He's definitely gonna need to learn to move his upper body more if he's gonna be tryin to get inside like that, and it just seems like he needs to stay away from the gym wars.
