So far I've never seen Kessler hurt after taking a punch on the chin (Calslappy hurt him with a bodyshot). However he hasn't really been hit with a lot of clean punches during his career. Ward is not a big puncher but he's fast as hell and very tricky so he could confuse the dane and be able to land some big shots, but at the end of the day I have a feeling Kessler's chin is good enough to last 12 rounds with Ward.
