    Pavlik Vs Williams fight anylisis

this is my fight anylisis for pavlik-williams

first off these guys have quite a few similaritys,
they are both the same hieght,
    they both have tremendas workrates,
    both do not get tierd,
    both are easy to hit

this is gonna be a war, a GAREENTED war.

first off both guys will NOT start out slow, they both throw quite a few punches in the first round, and they will hit each other, and since there both easy to hit, expect a war right off the bat, and dont expect it to die down.
now if this holds to be true, Pavlik will have the advantage,

becaz pavlik may not have a hieght advantage, but he IS the naturally larger man, and can impose his streagth on the inside,

Pavlik also has the power advantage.

pavlik has proven to have a good chin, williams has a decent chin, but he's never been hit by a MW, let alone one that hits as hard as pavlik.

and pavlik has expireance in wars, paul really doesnt.

i think it will be pavlik by 7 round KO,
but its gonna be all out while it lasts.

Paul has shown better defense in the winky fight but his style makes him easy to hit and it will be entertaining for how ever long it lasts. I agree that this will most likely end in a stoppage ending in Pavlik's favor.

Good post. Just a few comments.

Pavlik doesn't have the height advantage, but he does fight taller, though Williams might have to change for this fight. Williams has been hit by MWs, just not any that hit anywhere near as hard as Pavlik, though Kelly is more of an accumulation puncher, than say an Arthur Abraham. Williams/Margarito was a war, one that Paul was hurt in, in the 11th round, but he showed very good powers of recovery by coming back in the twelfth to throw like 120 punches.

Before the Hopkins and Wright fights, I wouldn't have given Paul much of a chance, but these days it's pretty much a 50/50 fight. I think it might go the distance, be exciting as hell, with a knockdown or two. But I'm leaning toward Williams winning a decision.

Fighting Hopkins was a bad move for Pavlik. He wasn't knocked out, but he took a ton of punishment, and his confidence was shredded. Not really sure if he'll ever recover, but this fight should tell.

I think this is a mismatch in Williams favor. Pavlik could have found a better opponent to fight. He is a bit stiff and I think Williams is too good for Pavlik to catch. I see a UD all the way thru for the punisher

thanx for a decent counter arguement.
i mentioned that pavlik and williams were the same hieght,
but i still think pavlik has more expireance in the type of fight this will be,
paul did have a war with margo, but pavlik has had many wars,

and about bhop ruining pavlik, idk
            i hope not.

I know you mentioned them being the same height (only short bus riders believe Paul is really 6'1", if anything he's taller than Kelly) just pointing out that Pavlik does fight taller. Pavlik has been in more wars, but they may also be catching up to him, we'll see.

Yeah, for the sake of fans expecting a great fight, I hope Pavlik is not ruined either.

Williams has made a vast improvement on his defense, if he were as easy to hit as before, he would have gotten tagged by the rusty Winky. Fact is, when he's not punching, he's using consistent head movement and lateral movement. He wasn't doing that a couple fights ago.

                    1) The Miranda fight is the only fight, I've seen Pavlik use his strength on the inside and that's because Miranda moves straight back, other than that he hasn't used it. 2) Paul Williams is a 10x better fighter on the inside, his punches are shorter than most short armed fighters.

How can you say Williams has a decent chin, when he's never really even been buzzed, despite getting hit cleanly a lot? Of what I've seen of P-Will's chin nothing less than good-excellent can be said.

Margarito came on strong, hit him hard with some solid punches late and he still came back to win the 12th. That's called resilience, it wasn't a bloody war, but it was a high pace fight where a lot of energy was expended by both fighters, pretty damn close to a war.

I have to watch a couple of their fights before I make up my mind on who's winning, but I'm leaning towards Williams by decision or late ko. I agree with the war for as long as it lasts.
