Let's hope he doesn't land on some announcer's table after going through the ropes.

Hopefully it will be Rahman vs. Meehan.

Kali has gone a long time without a meaningful fight.

Rahman, King, Oscar and Promoters of a certain kind....

Every time I see mention of Hasim Rahman, I am reminded of the sordid details of his relationship with Don King, which typifies King's tactics and character.

Rahman had been brought from nowhere to becoming Heavyweight Champ after KO-ing Lewis, by his promoter Cedric Kushner. His contract was up, and relations were very good between Kushner and Rahman, who was "on to of the world".

When Rahman was on his way to resign with Kushner, for a reputed bonus of millions, he was waylaid by King, who presented him with a suitcase of half a million dollars in CASH.

Soooooo.....Rahman signed with King, and left Kushner sitting waiting in his hotel room for a Heavyweight Champ who never turned up. Extremely blatant, even by King's standards, reminiscent of Oscar ambushing Manny P in a similiar way, after Manny's very long, tiring journey to the States, buying him dinner, giving cash, and not letting him leave until he'd committed to Golden Balls.

Later contested successfully by Bob Arum.

Promoters and second-hand car salesmen..........what's the difference??

                Kushner was

The best part is when the thrown steel chair hits Steve Smoger? in the head. I hope it didn't hurt him too much because I laugh everytime I see that.

rahman has been training with his son who is going to be a very large man.he destoyed meehan 5 years ago so no reason to fight him.Rahman is 37 & I don't know what's left but we will see.he's big,got great power , & good boxing skill.no reason why he can't be in the mix with the way division is.I mean meehan is #1 in WBA.I agree with lartysmith.after maskaev knocked Rahman out of the ring.I crack up every time I see that chair nail smoger in the head...LOL! Look at the division if he fought someone decent & won he'll get a shot at a belt.he could beat valuev.get a tuneup or 2 & you watch vitali or winner if haye/valuev will fight him.we got mccall & his son fighting on the same card & soon to have Rahman & his son fighting in the same cards.Rahman vs maskaev 3 I want to see or toney/Rahman 3 or tua/Rahman 3 or ruiz/Rahman 2. Let the old foggies club fight each other for positioning.Rahman vs arreola or haye.Rahman can take a good punch .he's been knocked out only by tua, lewis, maskaev, wlad beat him up but ref stopped the fight & Rahman took the fight on short notice.he puts on mega weight between fights & he just showed for the payday vs wlad.he never can be underestimated!
