Both fighters are coming off of career best wins. Khan won the WBA super lightweight title by unanimous decision over Adreas Kotelnik last weekend while Maidana won his interim title by impressively stopping Victor Ortiz in 5 rounds last month.

Maidana may be raw, but his power is there, only a power puncher with good boxing and resistance can beat him convincingly. I don't think that you can outrun him forever and Khan only needs a little push to see some stars.

Personally its a fight khan COULD win...once he doesnt get hit with a very hard shot thats bound to happen...depends how he takes it though...

Id say khan could knock him down, dunno if he could know him out tho....but would be interesting power vs speed....

Dunno if khan is ready for this step yet though...but i spose hes a champion now, cant dodge people...also like som1 else said he has a mandatory to defend

Yep, he looked a bit shaky even against feather fisted Kotelnik. Him getting that fight was straight bull****, especially with all the quality 140lbs competition out there. Yet, in his first fight at 140, he somehow gets a title shot against the softest punching champion in the sport. That was a straight up drug deal. I hope the Maidana fight gets made, but I doubt it will. Freddie won't let it happen, he's already said this; he knows Amir ain't got a chin.

If Khan beats Maidana, Perro will leave Boxing Scene for 1 year.

He has minimal chances to beat Miadana.

The argentinian is all wrong for him.
