Bernard Hopkins is starting to grow on me.

Hopkins couldn't handle a pressure fighter that's actually good around his own size.
I'm willing to bet if Calzaghe had to come up like 10+ pounds like the typical Hopkins opponent, Hopkins wouldn't of clinched as much.Comment

Hopkins lost........defensive style fans, Hopkins' huggers, Sore Americans that hate losing to Brits think otherwise.Comment

Hopkins only lost because of a judge who retired after that fight decided to penalize him for the white boy comment.Comment

Don't confuse Calzaghe's punches landed with Hopkins. Calzaghe wasn't clinching nowhere near as Hopkins.

43 years old = Past a fighters prime. Had Hopkins been 41 or younger IMO he would've pulled a Tarver type performance on Joe.Comment

anyway you just admitted you don't even follow the rules while scoring a fight and frankly that's the only way anyone can see calzaghe a winner in that fight.
i could see calzaghe winning if i made up my own rules too. like he threw and missed more! he totally backed hopkins up!(but ran into punches) he made hopkins act like a ***** after a low blow! etc......Comment

He was 43 dude. Damned ancient by boxing standards. Better fighter didn't win that night. The younger guy did. Calzaghe won don't get me wrong I gave him the fight by a point but he won because Hopkins was not the same fighter he once was.

Calzaghe is a lot better than Tarver. So I doubt it......maybe if he was like the guy in the 160 days, but that's about it. my 2c.Comment

Calzaghe landed punches too. Maybe not in the style of Hopkins but a punch landed is a punch landed.
I still laugh at the "O ****" face Hopkins made in that fight. Simply Priceless.

Calzaghe was 36. At 36 Hopkins beat the **** out of Holmes and Tito. Joe was at his ABSOLUTE prime against Hopkins. Ffs he had just beat up Kessler, and Tarver in his prime was not worse than Calzaghe. No way no ****ing how.Comment
