Let's not get this confused, even though Cotto has the belt, which he won against Jennings which was a vacant belt, it's not like Cotto can't come back and win another vacant belt and or fight Berto or even rematch Mosley or something and try to win another one back.

I honestly believe that Cotto is not afraid to put up the belt as trinkets mean nothing. Had Cotto been afraid, he would have never agreed to fight Manny in the first place at 147 but negotiations brought them down to 145 and I seriously believe that ODLH slipped Cotto some money to play hard ball and to play keep away. There is no one in boxing who will suffer more than ODLH's legacy if Pacman wins that belt. If Cotto loses, he will always still have his fans and will still always have another opportunity to win another belt even if it is another vacant belt and everyone knows this. People like to see Cotto fight and that is that.

Cotto losing his little trinket wont affect him at all. At least not in my eyes. I know he can come right back and win another but I already said that lol.
