We are going to see whether or not Williams is avoided. He's got a big opportunity to fight Pavlik, and he needs to not fuck it up. James Kirkland called him out too, and he blew the challenge off. I can understand why Williams isn't jumping at the opportunity to fight Clottey. He isn't going to make a multi-million dollar payday to fight him like Cotto did.

Williams needs the big fights, all the fans want to see. I don't think anyone actually disputes the fact Williams is the best Welterweight in the world. Noone could beat him there, the only one with a chance is Mosely and he is DUCKING Paul left, right and centre.

I think it's foolish to suggest Cotto, Mosely or Mayweather are the best Welterweights when Paul would dice them up.

I think Quintana has a chance at beating him at WW.

He's not avoided, he is just insanely greedy and HIGHLY overvalues his worth at this stage of his career. The other thing I hate about him is that he fights at 160 then calls out guys at 147 because he can "make the weight." I don't care if he can ANYONE will see that he TOWERS over everyone but Margarito in the WW division, and even though weight may be close he will still be viewed as the bigger man. He also just fought at 160, then wants to come down at 147 proving the point that he is calling out fall smaller opponents, aside from asking people to come up in wait he's just pulling a Mayweather wanting to take on the smaller men.

If he wants this "respect" then he should earn it and fight guys that are at least his size. No matter how good you are size comes into play, its the reason Paq will never fight Pavlik, Hopkins and anyone else they are just way too big. I'm not saying he shouldn't fight them, if Clottey wants Pwill, he can have him but if Pwill wants Cotto, Mosley or anyone else its just sad. If he was really any kind of man he'd fight AA, Pavlik, Dawson, Frotch there are a slew of guys out there for him that he's not fighting and going for guys in lower classes.
