Bernard hopkins has got the worst jab for an elite fighter ever lol

Hopkins doesn't throw many shots period and he uses his left hand as a range finder and/or to confuse his opponents to set up his right hand and considering how defensive minded he is he probably doesn't want to use the jab because he can possibly be countered with right hands over the top. He has a pretty good jab when he actually uses it though.
A prime Hopkins had a great jab and used it all the time.Comment

Notice the stats listed are against fighter with GREAT jabs. And look at how ****ty their percentages are.
Hopkins TAKES AWAY his opponents jab better than anyone I've ever seen that I can think of.
It's funny this is posted, the latest issue of The Ring magazine Hopkins has his usual training tips **** and he talks about how to defend against the jab and take it away. He says your best weapon is the jab, but so is your opponents. The key is taking away your opponents jab thus they cant set up any shots. Thats why Tarver and Pavlik both looked like ****, like they had nothing on their punches because hopkins TOOK AWAY their jab and when that was gone, tarver & pavlik are worthless, they don't know how to set up punches without it. Calzaghe is a bit more versatile which is why he did better but even he looked the worst he's ever looked in his entire career.Comment
