JCC, Maromero Paez, DLH in the 90's. Barrera-Hamed made me a fan forever, though.
What turned u into a hardcore fan.

i wouldn't call myself a hardcore fan but Taylor-Pavlik I made me more than a casual fan. i liked the backstories and how hbo builds up their fights. i remember them calling Taylor-Pavlik a cinderella story and the fight delivered action as well as drama. and also the whole country rivalry thing really pumps me up even when my home country is not fighting. nothing is more exciting than a mexico vs. puerto rico bout.Comment

Watching an ESPN or FSN special on Joe Frazier, it wasn't even whne he beat Ali though, it was when he lost to Foreman, the fact that he got knocked down but wouldn't stay down really drew me to the sport just watching one man refuse to give up on a fight. That turned me into a boxing fan and a Joe Frazier fan.Comment

tyson-berbick....i was thunderstruck by their physiques, i remember they looked like superheroes from a comic book, the controversy over the challenger wearing the same color shorts and the fact that tysons punches sounded different.Comment

My parents watched it since I can remember, my dad mainly. So I always watched the big fights when he had people over, the last one I can remember was Trinidad/De La Hoya. From then I watched every time I could, then when I moved out on my own I didn't have HBO, watched DLH/Vargas and then missed out a couple years and the bug hit me really hard with Trinidad/Winky. I know it was a boring fight, but it was really the first time I saw someone completely dominate other fighter who was near unstoppable at the time. I was older as well so I got to really appreciate the art and skill of boxing over just the entertainment value.Comment
