williams needs to realize he hasnt fought no one, he needs tthis fight more then pavlik. Time to put up or shut up. take the smaller purse williams, go in there and take his belt.

I don't know if that's necessarily true even though Pavlik is the bigger draw than Paul is. Williams has a bigger talent pool of fighters to chose from when it comes to competing in different weight classes and he's not struggling to get back on HBO like Pavlik is. But I do agree that Pavlik deserves more than a 50-50 split since he's champ at 160. Williams needs to stop talking **** about being ducked and make this fight happen. If it doesn't you can't place all the blame on Pavlik. Williams did pull some slick stuff the last time this fight was in negotiations. And I would favor Paul to outbox Kelly if this fight happens, but don't count Pavlik out. He has the power to do damage. Also, the first part of your post is dead wrong though. Williams beat Margarito while he was highly regarded and completely punked Winky Wright. He has proved himself. I have to give him that.

I was told this week that serious talks have been rekindled for a fall fight between middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik and Paul Williams, with HBO making a very strong offer. The question is, will the two camps, who don't exactly get along well, be able to agree on the split? We shall see, but my fingers are crossed because it's a great fight -- certainly a lot bigger than anything else either guy can legitimately make.

guarantee you that Pavlik will beat Williams down. Honestly dont think Paul can handle the punishment. The fight will showcase Pavliks power for a middle weight and his size is something that Williams has never had to deal with. Awesome fight though.

The reason why Williams deserves to eat in this fight is because he is on a roll right now despite that hiccup he suffered against your Rican shield Quintana. Lol. I just think that the way he beat Winky was impressive despite Winky's layoff and the fight did high TV ratings even though it bombed at the gate. Pavlik's stock is at an all-time low after that Hopkins loss and he hasn't made himself more loved with his behavior like not fighting Abraham and that smug comment he made about the 168 tourney.

Dude, do you honestly think Goosen is gonna throw Paul Williams in with Kelly Pavlik for peanuts? Get real man. With the way you're demanding the purse ends up we'll never see this fight. I admitted Pavlik deserved the bigger split but we shouldn't be ridiculous here.

Well if manny Got a 65-35 against Cotto(Who is almost at the same level as a draw), Why ypu think Williams should get anything more than 30 against pavlik who is a bigger draw by miles!!
