Pavlik-Williams Negotiations Begin

I was told this week that serious talks have been rekindled for a fall fight between middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik and Paul Williams, with HBO making a very strong offer. The question is, will the two camps, who don't exactly get along well, be able to agree on the split? We shall see, but my fingers are crossed because it's a great fight -- certainly a lot bigger than anything else either guy can legitimately make.

anyone else feel a little disappointed by pavlik? he looked the business against taylor in the first fight, i know he got knocked down, but the finish.......... then he battered lockett, then b hop made him look awful, i want him to come back and show hes still a good hitter and bring some excitement....

People are going to be taking Williams like crazy but I see Kelly winning this fight, probably by kayo. We always go off the "what have you done lately" but in this fight I see Kelly going back to the basics. I'll be rooting for Paul but I think hes in for a beating and this is the one man that he probably should stay away from.

williams needs to realize he hasnt fought no one, he needs tthis fight more then pavlik. Time to put up or shut up. take the smaller purse williams, go in there and take his belt.

yeah but against a guy like p williams who doesnt know what defense is he is going to look real good. they have to keep pavlik away from master boxers like hopkins who can exploit his come forward 1-2 style
